Dave KolsrudTitle: Appointed-Bonanza Information: David Kolsrud is currently Chairman and Coordinator of CORN-er Stone Farmers Cooperative, and has been so since its beginning in 1996. CORN-er Stone Farmers Cooperative is a 200 farmer member new generation co-op whos mission is to increase profitability of its owners by adding value to agricultural products raised in the tri-state area through local processing. The co-op is 100% owner of a 15 million gallon per year Corn to Fuel Ethanol, in Luverne, MN, AGRI-ENERGY, LLC. The co-op also is 25% owner in a new convenience store- Rock County Energy. The co-op also invested into the research and development of a new soy processing technique. They are invested in other projects as well. Mr. Kolsrud continues to farm with his wife (Charlene) and they have two (2) children (Jill and Chris). David served on various church and co-op boards. He studied Ag Education at the University of Minnesota for four years before he was drafted into the United States Army in November of 1970. After serving in the infantry at Berlin, Germany for 2 years he returned to Beaver Creek, MN and purchased a farm. Mr. Kolsrud's passion is economic development in rural areas! He speaks to many groups about this passion and testifies before legislative bodies. Home |
