Dusty TurnerTitle: Chief Operating Officer Picture: Information: Dusty Turner was born in Guymon, OK in 1971. He graduated from Guymon High School in 1989 and accepted a basketball scholarship to play for the University of Northwest Oklahoma State in Alva, OK. After graduating in 1993 Dusty decided to pursue his dream to become a feedlot manager. He began his career back home in Guymon with Hitch Enterprises as a management trainee. After completing the program in the winter of 1996, Dusty accepted the Manager's position at Golden Belt Feeders in St. John, KS; a 35,000 head feedyard. He oversaw 28 employees, handled all commodity purchases, sold the finished cattle as well as maintained a steady supply of feeder cattle on an outside pasture program. In August of 1999 he was hired to be the General Manager of Supreme Cattle Feeders, LLC in Liberal, KS; a 75,000 head feedyard. At Supreme he oversaw 65 employees, purchased all commodities for the feedyard, maintained customer as well as company owned inventories and was responsible for all environmental operating practices. While at Supreme he implemented an ISO 9000/2001 along with a HACCP program. Dusty was also one of the co-founders of Bonanza BioEnergy and Arkalon Ethanol. He serves his community as a board member for the consolidated school district of Plains and Kismet, KS. He is a member of the Rotary Club in Liberal and has represented the Kansas Livestock Association both on the State and National level. Dusty and his wife Amy live outside of Liberal, Kansas and have two children, Ransen and Cashen. Home |
